By downloading or using SaferBaby (the "App") or the saferbaby.app website (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

SaferBaby lets you scan or search product barcodes and see safety information — ingredient analysis and safety scores — drawn from open product databases and scientific/regulatory sources. It is an informational tool to help you make more informed choices.

SaferBaby is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.Safety scores and ingredient information are general, automated, and may be incomplete or wrong for your situation. They are not a diagnosis, treatment, or professional recommendation. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your child's specific health, allergies, and conditions, and use your own judgment. Never disregard professional advice because of something you saw in SaferBaby.

Product formulations change often and our data may not reflect the current version of a product. We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any product information. Recall information, when shown, is not a substitute for official regulatory notifications — always check official sources.

You may post ratings and reviews ("User Content"). You are responsible for what you post, and you represent that it is truthful, your own, and lawful. You must not post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, hateful, infringing, private/sensitive to others, spam, or that includes medical claims you can't support.

You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant SaferBaby a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute it within the Service. Reviews are public. We may moderate, filter, label, or remove User Content, and we may suspend accounts that violate these Terms — automatically or on report — at our discretion.

SaferBaby contains affiliate "Buy" links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes a product's safety score or where it ranks. Purchases, prices, availability, and fulfillment are solely between you and the retailer, under that retailer's terms. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

You agree to:

• Use the Service for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes only;
• Not reverse-engineer, scrape, bulk-download, or overload the Service or its API;
• Not resell or redistribute product data except as the underlying licenses allow;
• Not use the Service to harass, harm, or mislead others;
• Exercise your own judgment alongside the information the Service provides.

SaferBaby's own content — its safety scoring, curated ingredient knowledge, written explanations, design, and software — belongs to SaferBaby and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Product facts are sourced from open databases under their own licenses and remain subject to those licenses; see our Data & Attributions page. Product names, brands, and images are the property of their respective owners.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SaferBaby shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision made based on information provided by the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or harms the Service or other users.

We may modify these Terms; changes are effective when posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
